Agnes is originally from Glasgow, she has lived and worked in and around Edinburgh and has lived in the Scottish Borders for almost 2 decades. She has followed a non-traditional route to being an artist. Agnes enjoys experimenting with different materials and techniques, preferring to push her own boundaries and never stay in a comfortable zone.
She has travelled extensively, enjoys a very active lifestyle, manages to find time to develop and promote her own work. Relaxation comes in the form of gardening, and activities with friends and family in Scotland, the UK and Europe.

Texture adds complexity and interest. Impressed by the movements of clouds, of trees, of the rain, and of people and animals in the surrounding urban and rural areas, this project attempts to capture the complexity and mutability of my own engendered emotions of the things that surround me and influence me.
